HammerHeart Brewing Company is a production brewery in Ely, Minnesota. We opened our brewery in 2013 in Lino Lakes, located in central Minnesota.

For nearly ten years, in addition to producing kegs and cans for distribution, we ran a taproom. It was a special place where many memories were made, both for ourselves and our patrons. However, in 2021 we made the difficult decision to relocate to Ely, MN, and began two years of transition and buildout. We are now back up and running and producing cans and kegs for distribution throughout Minnesota.

Our location is different, but our goals have not changed. We will continue exploring beers rooted in tradition, honoring friends, family and other important things in our lives. We have over 130 recipes and counting, many are styles rarely seen outside of Scandinavia such as Stjørdalsøl, Finnish-style Sahti, or a Jul Øl aged in aquavit barrels.

The brewery's name was chosen from the epic viking metal album "Hammerheart" by the classic Swedish metal band Bathory. This album combined two sources of endless inspiration for us, metal and Norse mythology. Even after 11 years as a brewery, we continue to draw inspiration from these powerful sources.
